The Story of Zonin Sparkling Wines

Zonin sparkling wines come from the rich tradition of Italian winemaking, with roots dating back to 1821, making Zonin a true symbol of viticultural culture. For more than two centuries, the Zonin family has continuously managed the winery, expanding and developing its vineyards, which today cover over 3,500 hectares in highly esteemed grape-growing areas.

Zonin sparkling wines are made using 100% Glera grapes. This variety was chosen for its characteristics that are particularly suited to sparkling wine production: it provides a fresh, fruity, and highly attractive aroma with floral notes and hints of apple, all complemented by a balanced, dry taste with a delicate almond finish.

Zonin sparkling wines originate from the prestigious Italian regions of Friuli and Veneto. The terroir of these regions offers unique conditions—soil, climate, altitude, and geographic position—that are reflected in the light straw-yellow color, refined effervescence, fresh and fruity aroma with floral and fruit notes, and a balanced dry taste.

There is a clear commitment to preserving the authenticity of the place: appellations (DOC/DOCG) guarantee that the wine comes from approved grapes and that the production process follows the region’s traditions and regulations.

Zonin sparkling wines are intended for sparkling wine enthusiasts who value quality, freshness, and authenticity, appreciating the sophisticated yet approachable characteristics of sparkling wine. They are also aimed at business partners and prestigious hospitality establishments—the wine is promoted as a product reserved for top restaurants, upscale wine bars, and specialty shops, serving as a complementary feature at elegant social events.
